Verzani & Sandrini receives a certificate of merit from GM do Brasil

General Motors handed out the Certificate of Merit to the suppliers that truly excelled in 2007 on May 16, 2008. Verzani & Sandrini received the award as a supplier in the "Indirect Material" category. A total group of 28 suppliers were awarded among around three thousand companies that supply the car manufacturer´s production in Mercosur.

Jaime Ardila, president of the car manufacturer for Mercosur, acknowledged last year as one of the best in the history of the automotive industry in the region. And he maintained his optimism for this year: "We will be producing 800 thousand units in Mercosur, 22% higher than last year. For this reason, we are once again reckoning with the efforts of the supply chain to reach this goal".

GM's Supplier of the Year Award was launched in 1992. The award winners are selected by GM's global team of executives from the purchasing, engineering, production and logistics areas, which base their decisions on the performance of suppliers in quality, services, technology and price.
